To qualify for the Australian Government's Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS), your child must meet specific age and payment requirements. The program is designed to support families receiving certain government benefits, ensuring that essential dental care is accessible.
Children aged between 2 and 17 years old are eligible if they receive Family Tax Benefit Part A or other qualifying government payments for at least one day during the calendar year. This ensures that the benefit reaches families who can benefit most from subsidized dental services.
The Child Dental Benefits Schedule provides funding for a range of essential and basic dental treatments, helping to maintain your child's oral health. These services are crucial for preventive care and addressing common dental issues.
Included services typically encompass routine examinations, professional cleaning, diagnostic procedures, fissure sealing, fillings, root canal therapy, and extractions. The benefit cap is $1000 per child over two consecutive calendar years, offering significant support for ongoing dental needs.
