Wisdom teeth are the last adult teeth to erupt and usually appear in people aged between 17-21. As they are the last teeth to emerge they often only partially emerge or grow crooked. When they do not fully erupt and break into the mouth, it is generally a result of being blocked by other teeth, these is referred to as impacted wisdom teeth. Impacted wisdom teeth often causes inflammation, infection and pain.

Here at Banyule Dental we have years of experience with wisdom teeth removal.
We will run an x-ray in order to see how your wisdom tooth is growing, then assess whether you do or don’t have sufficient room for your wisdom teeth to fully erupt.
If not, we will recommend an extraction however if it doesn’t seem to be causing any problems then we will probably adopt a ‘wait-and-see’ approach.
